Privacy Policy — Freestate

Freestate is a Chrome extension built by Borony that helps you understand whether software is free, freemium, bait, or paid. This policy explains what data we access and how we use it.

What we access

• Active tab URL. When you open the extension, we read the domain of the page you're currently viewing so we can look up its pricing information.

What we do with it

• We query our pricing database for that domain.
• If the domain isn't in our database, we may send the domain to an AI research service (Google Gemini) to analyze its public pricing page and cache the result.
• We do not store your browsing history. We only process the single domain you ask about.

What we don't do

• We don't track you across sites.
• We don't sell your data.
• We don't require an account to use the extension.
• We don't inject ads or modify the pages you visit.

Third-party services

To research pricing for domains not yet in our database, we use Google's Gemini API. Only the domain name and a request for public pricing information are sent. See Google's Privacy Policy.
